Το Tuned Pale Ale δεν είναι ένα συνηθισμένο μπουκάλι μπίρας, όπως δηλώνουν οι σχεδιαστές του Matt Braun και Chris Mufalli, καθώς η ετικέτα που το συνοδεύει έχει τυπωμένη μια μουσική κλίμακα, η οποία διακόπτεται σε διάφορα σημεία με βελάκια. Τι σημαίνει αυτό;
Ο καθένας μπορεί να πιει μπίρα μέχρι όποιο σημείο θέλει και στη συνέχεια να φυσύξει μέσα στο μπουκάλι. Αυτόματα οι ήχοι της κλίμακας που αναγράφονται μέχρι το συγκεκριμένο σημείο που κατέβηκε η στάθμη του ποτού… αναπαράγονται πιστά!
Κι όσο κι αν σας φαίνεται παράξενο και περίεργο είναι πέρα για πέρα αληθινό.

Matt Braun, a Philadelphia-based designer and DJ, has created a musical kit for beer drinkers. Called “Tuned Pale Ale,” the kit contains 6 bottles packed in a wooden holder that can double up as a drum instrument. Printed notes on the side of the bottle provide a reference for using it as a wind instrument, and ridges along the side allow it to also be played as a percussion instrument.
Braun says that his creation aims to promote the musical qualities of beer bottles and encourage drinkers to experience their sense of rhythm.
Tuned Pale Ale is a product that explores the musical affordances in everyday objects and promotes social spontaneity. While drinking beer, people become musically encouraged and often start making music with objects around them. This product aims to promote more of this type of social interaction.
